Dr. Loigman provides therapy in the following areas: anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), substance abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, stress and psychotic disorders. Dr. Loigman's treatments focus on helping people minimize the pain and suffering caused by these conditions. His goal is to help people move forward from their illness to build and live active and engaged lives. Dr. Loigman is also a psychopharmacology expert.
Recently, many new therapies and medications have been discovered and developed, which may be useful in helping you feel better. Science is constantly bringing us additional information about the human mind which has opened the doors for easing the pain and bringing hope to those who have previously been unable to find relief.
One of Dr. Loigman's greatest areas of expertise is his knowledge of psychopharmacology--the study of how medications affect the mind and how they interact with each other. In fact he has been called upon to work in the testing of new medications for mental health. Using this knowledge in combination with other forms of treatment, he has been able to help hundreds of patients feel better and move forward in their lives. Since every patient is different, he will work with you to find the treatment that works best for you. Generally, the earlier a treatment program is started, the earlier the patient may be able to see their condition improve or recover than if they had delayed starting treatment.
Dr. Loigman's offices are conveniently located near Grand Central Station and uptown on the Upper East Side. He treats every patient with an open mind, patience, caring and dignity. If you or someone close to you is suffering from problems with mood, anxiety or the effects of any other mental disorder please contact Dr. Loigman by phone at 212-517-1945 or email him at info@drMarkLoigman.com to arrange a consultation.
